What's new? So much!

It’s a time of renewal at Ilha Blue.

We are embracing all the ‘re’ words: refresh, revive, rejoice, reconnect, relove, resail...

First of all, welcome to the new look website designed by the delightful @33.creative. The team have really captured the essence of all that Ilha Blue has to offer in and around stunning Ilha de Moçambique. Dive in and take a look.

The humpback whale birthing season has started. We have had our first sighting and what a thrill it was - a mother feeding her newborn calf using the ‘flukes-up feeding’ method.

The rooftop garden at Ilha Blue is going off like a roquette. Luscious green goodness- different types of lettuce, roquette, of course, aubergines, kale, parsley coriander basil , passion fruit. All growing fresh for Cafe Azulejo and mouth watering lunches on our dhow trips.

Café Azulejo is cooking up a storm with a new brunch menu including ‘ Golden fritters’, lemon syrup cake, French apple cake, Chia pudding made with fresh coconut cream and served with house made granola and fruit salad and wild honey, Mexican Tepache - a spicy fermented pineapple drink, smoothie deliciousness with power shots, hibiscus tea, and always exceptional coffees.

To celebrate the humpback whale season we are including a bottle of crisp white wine with every Whale Watching tour and Island Hop Snorkeling tour. Local beers and soft drinks are still on the menu also!

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better… the famous Sunset Sail now has live acoustic music to help you relax further into the glorious sunset.

Axinene Ari Vava women's project are participating in another 2 week workshop with marvelous creatives from Karingana Textiles. The focus is on producing a signature collection of hand dyed textiles; fine tuning natural dyeing design techniques such as shibori and adding iconic design elements to the textiles.

Phew… what else?! Come in and see us to find out more about everything that’s going on.
